“We needed the darkness,

“Radiant Runes are great for any space and are one of the few ways that bring art, craftsmanship, light,  natural materials and spirit together all in one. The members of Collective Space are honoured to have a display set up in our coworking and gallery space, and I am keen to get one in my home.”

“To describe this as a sculpture or ornament is just unfair. My radiant rune speaks to me in so many ways and evokes both comfort and mystery. Jon has tapped into something incredibly powerful here- something that I can’t put into words.”

“Beautiful merging of nature with crystals and wood. Each piece emits pure gentle energy and speaks uniquely to each person who views them. I personally own two pieces one emits a gentle “discovery” energy and the other a “healing” energy. I am very proud to own both pieces! Thank you Jon for sharing your energy with all of us through your art of merging wood and crystals.”

“A tour of the workshop confirms what I’d imagined– that Jon treats every Radiant Runes sculpture as if it’s the only one in existence. The care with which he selects and pairs each individual gem with its swirl of wood is visible in the finished work, and that’s part of why these sculptures are so enchanting.”

the Artist: Jon Baker

Jon was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, on Vancouver Island. He is a Creative, and is fed by encouraging and facilitating others to create as well. Although he is sometimes fascinated by the culture of technology, his true dream is to build a cabin in Northern BC, where he can continue to harvest wood, have a shelf full of great books, plant medicines/preserves and play accordion to the snow, by the woodstove.
